Duties will include but not be limited to:
Operating and driving heavy vehicles, ALL combinations of trailers.
Transporting goods safely and efficiently over designated routes.
Sign for their loads, including pre-departure documentation.
Interact with customers upon delivery.
Complying with all traffic laws and regulations related to heavy vehicle operation.
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
Maintaining accurate records of driving hours, rest periods, and vehicle maintenance.
Monitoring vehicle performance and promptly reporting mechanical issues.
Adhering to company policies and safety procedures while on the road.
Interacting professionally with customers and other road users.
Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods while managing delivery schedules.
Requirements:
Comfortable couple/decoupling trailers (essential)
Comfortable reversing (essential)
Be physically fit.
Wharf experience preferred
BFM Preferred
A - Double experience (Desired)
Container Cartage experience (Desired)
Reliable and punctual.
Mix of local (Riverina) and Interstate runs (Melbourne Port Precinct)
Friendly manner for customer interaction.
Good written and spoken English.
Local runs
Have a clean police record.
Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
