About the Role
Quest Personnel are currently seeking an experienced HC Driver to join a busy operation based in Smithfield.

This role involves operating front lift and rear lift heavy vehicles collecting plastic bottles and cardboard bales across designated routes. The work is consistent and well organised, making it ideal for drivers who want reliable hours and long-term stability.

Drivers may be required to cover day or afternoon shift for approximately 6 weeks per year, paid at the higher afternoon rate.

 
Location & Hours
Smithfield start and finish
Monday to Friday
No weekends or public holidays
Daily hours typically between 7.6 – 10.3 hours
Occasional afternoon shift coverage (approx. 6 weeks per year)
Day and Afternoon shift rate: $46 - $56.00 per hour
 
Duties
Operating heavy rigid rear lift vehicles
Driving safely and efficiently over designated routes
Collecting plastic bottles and cardboard bales
Completing pre-departure documentation
Customer interaction at pick-up points
Conducting pre-start and post-trip inspections
Maintaining accurate driving hours and service records
Monitoring vehicle performance and reporting issues
Adhering to company safety procedures and road laws
Managing delivery schedules to ensure timely service
 
To Be Successful, You Will Have
Valid HC Licence
Minimum 2 years heavy vehicle experience (rear lift preferred)
Strong safety and fatigue management awareness
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Reliable and punctual work ethic
Stable work history
Full working rights and immediate availability
Clean driving record and police check
Willingness to complete drug and alcohol testing
